Richmond HBCU and Minority Chamber Organizations
To Receive $175,000 From SI Sportsbook
Donations Fulfill Commitment Promises to Support Local Minority Businesses and HBCUs
WHAT: Sports Illustrated Sportsbook (SI Sportsbook), the latest company to receive
approval from the Commonwealth of Virginia and the Virginia Lottery to offer
legal online sports betting in the state, will present checks in the following
amounts to the Virginia Hispanic Chamber ($50,000), the Virginia Asian
Chamber of Commerce ($50,000), the Metropolitan Business League
($50,000) and Virginia Union University ($25,000). The donations will total
$175,000.
WHY: As part of its license agreement with the Commonwealth of Virginia, SI
Sportsbook and its parent company 888 Holdings, agreed to give back to
minority businesses and historically black colleges and universities. This will
be the first of many future donations in the state.
